What are your responsibilities at Dubow?
In receiving, we handle anything that comes in from customer drop-offs, UPS, FedEx, etc. and enter the items into Dubow’s systems. We move pallets to help with staging for embroidery, digital, and other departments to make sure they can find the stuff they need for their projects. If anything arrives damaged, our team figures out the replacements to keep the work moving.
This week, we moved 40,000 items for a summer camp project. We’re also printing thousands of shirts for a big health care company. It’s been busy!
Why did you decide to join Dubow?
I joined in March of 2021 and Dubow has been one of the better jobs I’ve had in my life. I have a background in warehouse work and found the job opening on the Indeed website. The supervisor I met with was really excited about my experience and I liked what I saw when I interviewed and did my orientation.
What keeps you interested in your work?
I don’t like sitting, and this job keeps me moving. There’s also a lot of problem solving, so my mind stays active too. It’s been a good fit for me.
What about the team makes you proud?
Our team works well together. We coach each other and problem solve. We don’t get too stressed out about a challenge – we just step in and help each other out. Last year was really busy and I’m proud that we didn’t fall behind. Plus, management told us that our error rate is extremely low. We’re doing our job right.
Tell us about your life outside of work.
I have a dog. I like to watch movies and animes, and build model kits of gundams and transformers. I also enjoy working on my computer that I just rebuilt to play video games on. I also have a collection of nerdy and geeky stuff.
